“Assemblage of ancient vines that usually make up the "Torrette" in Valle d'Aosta. This small vineyard, overlooking the village of St Christophe, with its history of its vines and altitude, offers aromas and memories of the past.”
Wine: Petit Rouge, Vien de Nus, Fumin, Pinot Noir, Dolcetto and other varieties in smaller quantities. Plot: Sorreley, St Christophe Hill. Altitude and exposure: 750mt s.l.m., southern exposure. Soil: particularly draining, thanks to its sandy loam and gravely skeleton-rich composition. Alberello Harvest: 30 October. Kg of grapes per square meter: 0.2 Kg. Vinification: The destemmed grapes ferment with indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels for 30 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously. The wine is free from clarification and filtration thanks to the winter rest; before bottling two decantings are carried out in the right moon phases. Aging: 100% in barriques for 18 months. Total sulfites: 35 mg / l. Alcohol content: 13.5% vol. Bottles produced: 150 bottles, 20 magnum. |
