Below a brief summary of my life in wine and a few notes about my wines. I have had a great passion for wine since my early twenties and since then I always tried to work or travel to different wine regions. I have been working mostly in Australia and in Italy in the last 20 years, but I did work in Burgundy for 3 years. I also managed to get a vintage position at Cameron in Oregon, at Williams Selyem in California and in Otago at Chard Farm. I am originally from a small village in Tuscany, my first job in the wine industry was at Selvapiana, in Rufina and after 3 years I went to Corzano&Paterno in San Casciano in Val di Pesa. I then moved to Piedmont where I worked as assistant winemaker for Roberto Voerzio and Enzo Boglietti for combined 4 years. After the Langhe I went to Nicolas Potel and later to Michel Picard in Burgundy. In Australia I have been pretty much every where: 3 times in WA, 4 in South Australia and I spent half a dozen years in the Yarra Valley as a casual first then as assistant winemaker at Tarrawarra and as winemaker at Stefani. I think my best experiences down under were in Mclaren Vale while working for three vintages with Stephen Pannell, an extremely smart and versatile winemaker. Since 2012 I have been working on this Barolo project of mine, I love Nebbiolo. I do not own any vineyards, I have been leasing and buying grapes. I have a dynamic influence on the vineyards where I source my fruit from.
