It’s a grey day and March as we walk toward the vineyards below the church. Chiara explains when she and her husband arrived in the area, no one was here. Their friends thought they were crazy to move there, but they loved it and felt at home. They started with a small parcel of land that was abandoned old vines of Timorasso keeping as many as possible of the old vines and nursing them back to life. The vineyard now has vines ranging from 15 to 100+ years. Crossing the road overlooking a swooping concave hillside is their other vineyard that is plated to their barbera - what you notice most is not only a shift in temperature but mostly the change in the wind.
